Sometimes I follow people because I love and agree with what they post and I couldn’t care less about their lifestyle or fitness level…their posts just motivate me. But other times, I like to know where people are coming from—either to know that they are educated and trained and know their shit// Or to know that they may not have the certifications but they did it themselves and have great advice// Or just to feel a bit of camaraderie because they are close to where I am in my journey, or they’ve been where I am, or they’ve been where I’ve been.
So here’s my quick story in case you’re like me and just want a bit of background. Here’s the thing, though—don’t be a judge-y asshole because that’s just lame.
I was a fat kid. Then I hit puberty and decided I was done with being fat, so I starved myself. Then I was anorexic. Then I was super depressed (funny how skinny doesn’t equal happy and losing weight doesn’t always fix the underlying issues in the first place!) and became a fat adult. Now I’m still fat but getting healthier by the day. I have experience being overweight, obese, morbidly obese, anorexic, depressed, and finally, healthy and happy. If you’d ever like to contact me about anything, don’t be shy! But do heed the “I am not a medical professional, RD, trainer, or anyone who can claim knowledge about anything fitness related. However, I will fight to the death if you argue any product advertised in an infomercial will make me healthy/skinny/popular/queen. Happy Lifting!
